Carousel (Slideshow)

Displays a slide carousel at full width or within the page width. Each slide can have a background image, heading, description and action button.

  • Home page (typically at the top)
  • Landing pages composed in the editor
SettingDescription
WidthPage or full screen
HeightIn px (page width) or % of viewport (full width)
Automatic heightFollows image aspect ratio and disables configured height
AutoplayAutomatic rotation between slides
SpeedInterval between slides
Content animationNone, fade, slide up/down

The section accepts up to 10 slides. The recommended 3–5 is a content choice rather than the technical limit. At Page width, manual height accepts 200–800 px; at Full width, 0–100% of viewport height. Automatic height disables both manual controls. Automatic rotation offers an interval of 3–10 seconds; without Automatic, speed is disabled.

At full width, Slide content width can keep text within Page width while the image remains edge to edge. This option does not change the image file.

Show slide fraction is separate from indicators. Enable Customize indicators to choose visibility, position (below or overlaid left/center/right), animated/simple style, size, spacing, active width, opacity, border and colors. Enable Customize arrows to adjust visibility, long arrow/chevron, size, offset, opacity and color; with a background, also shape, shadow and border. Without local customization, the module uses the corresponding global defaults. See Other global controls.

Device images and links belong to each Slide; headings, text and buttons belong to its internal blocks. Do not confuse content motion with slide change speed. The visual editor comparison shows where to select a section or block.

Carousel selected in the new editor (Brand Editor), with slides on the left and width, height and animation controls on the right.

Example of a custom composition captured on October 6, 2026. Screenshot values are not fresh-install defaults. Select Carousel to adjust the section and each Slide to edit its content.

The initial carousel uses full width, 75% screen height and Automatic height disabled. This reduces banner growth on wide monitors and leaves space for the next section to begin. The height control remains available in the editor.

The image fills the area with a proportional crop; keep main content away from the edges. Very long text can increase required height, especially on small screens.

Each slide accepts internal blocks:

  • Heading — h1–h6 or custom size
  • Text — paragraph or rich text
  • Button — label and link
  • Limit the carousel to 3–5 strong slides; too many dilute the message.
  • On mobile, prefer automatic height or a moderate height to avoid pushing content below the fold.
  • Short text and high contrast over the image improve readability.
